Seth Enslow and his Harley-Davidson XR1200shattered the existing world record set 10-years ago by Bubba Blackwell back in 1999 with his 157 feet (47.85m) performed in Las Vegas.  Seth’s first jump of the day was performed safely by jumping 175 feet (53.34m).  However, several members of the media missed the long jump world record being broke and he again took his Harley Davidson XR1200 up the ramp to twice break the world record in one day for another jump of 183.7 feet (56m).  Watch the video below because he really hits hard the second jump…ouch.

Owners can enter their motorcycles in the Ride-In Show Contest on March 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Riverfront Park on Beach Street in Daytona Beach, or online at www.harley-davidson.com. Registration is followed by judging with prizes awarded by Harley-Davidson design experts beginning at 4 p.m. First place and two runner-up winners in each of 14 judging categories will receive cash prizes or trophies.  In addition, cash prizes will be awarded to the top motorcycles using Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories, for Most Dramatic Audio and the Willie G. Lione, 60, will remain with the Company as President of the Harley-Davidson Foundation, a position she has held since 2006. She has served as Harley-Davidson’s chief legal officer since joining the Company in 1997.  Harley-Davidson has initiated a candidate search for the General Counsel position. The Harley-Davidson Women’s Ride will feature hundreds of female motorcyclists who’ll ride through the streets of Daytona celebrating their freedom and passion for the sport, as well as supporting the important work of the MDA. All of the ride participants will be encouraged to secure pledges and donations from their friends and families to support MDA Summer Camp programs across the country. The first 500 eligible riders will receive a 2010 MDA pin, Women’s Ride flag and riders who raise $600 will receive a one-of-a-kind charm.  Also, the top three fundraisers will receive a Harley-Davidson jacket.  Last year’s ride raised more than $65,000 for MDA Summer Camps.

Ride staging will take place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. near Gate 70 of the Daytona International Speedway. The ride will depart at 10 a.m. and continue to Riverfront Park on Beach Street. Female riders of any brand of motorcycle interested in participating in the ride, or those interested in pledging support for the riders can go to Muscular Dystrophy Association Rides.

In addition to the Women’s Ride, the Motor Company is also hosting a women’s area at Riverfront Park on Beach Street throughout Bike Week. Experienced women riders or those just looking for information on how to get started can learn more about the sport by participating in bike lift seminars and getting information about learning to ride. They’ll also be able to enter a raffle to win a new Pink Label Collection item from Harley-Davidson MotorClothes®.

Harley Davidson has tons of activities planned at the River Front Park location during this 2010 Daytona Bike Week.    They will be setup daily beginning Friday February 26th from 9:00am to 7:00pm through Saturday March 6th.  Be sure to catch the Ride In Show on Wednesday March 3rd.  I am told by the motor company that they expect one hell of a ride in show show this year at River Front Park and have in excess of 150 Custom Harley-Davidson Motorcycles already committed to participating.

Also, be sure to see all the 2010 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles on display at the Daytona International Speedway idly sitting  by waiting for you to plant your butt and take them for a demo ride and a pin stop for Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) members .  Don’t know about you, but I plan on being at both the Ride In Show and at Harley Davidson’s display at the the Daytona Speedway to test ride all their motorcycles.

The Buell 1125R’s high level of performance and aesthetic potential were the key ingredients for the Magpul Ronin.  There are a lot of very interesting parts on this motorcycle and we will have to see what direction the Magpul Ronin will take, however, it is an interesting new direction for the Buell 1125R.  Although Harley Davidson may be finished with Buell 1125R Motorcycles as a production bike, plenty of Buell riders remain and are ready to continue on with their own ideas of what their custom motorcycle should be.

Tip your hat these folks at Magpul and look over this bike in detail.  To me the girder front end looks naturally integrated on the Buell 1125R and they have done a superb job with the design incorporating visual style with the girder into the frame.   However, due to the highly experimental nature of Magpul Ronin project, it is not yet known if Ronin motorcycles or Magpul-designed components for the Harley Davidson based Buell 1125R will be made available for purchase.  I will be releasing more information as it is known, so sign up to my RSS feed to stay in the know.

The new 2010 Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) Ultra Classic® Electra Glide® takes the shine out of chrome for a contrasting fade to black.  The debut of the new 2010 FLHTCUSE5 Black CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide is a darker version of this truly exceptional Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle.  Every motorcycle is serialized from one to 999, and displays top of the line blacked out components, like the serialized CB pod insert and the Gloss Black Rumble Collection and low-smoked windshield along with the new handlebar-mounted Road Tech™ zūmo® 660 GPS Navigator and an integrated automatic lock system that now includes the ignition knob.

The CVO Ultra is powered by a black and chrome Screamin’ Eagle® Twin Cam 110™ engine and a 6-speed Cruise Drive® transmission, which is the largest-displacement V-Twin engine offered from the factory by Harley-Davidson.  Along with the blacked-out powertrain, touring bike revels in all things dark with a Crimson Mist Black-Dark Slate and Flame graphics base color, and approximately 185 other unique black parts, components and accessories.

Some of the most prevalent features on the CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide custom’s inspiration are the Contrast Chrome Roulette wheels, the Rumble Collection featuring nine Gloss Black accessories from mirrors to saddlebag latch covers, black engine and saddlebag guards, and Diamond Black gauge faces.  All these deeply dark features combine to make the Ultra into an inspired motorcycle that could only come from Harley-Davidson CVO.  The CVO Ultra presents a lower profile up front with a 6.5-inch smoked windshield and adds premium Touring features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), LED saddlebag lights, Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), a six-gallon fuel tank, Brembo brakes and 160-watt CD/AM/FM/WB/MP3 Advanced Audio System by Harman-Kardon, CB and intercom, and passenger audio with controls, cruise control, plus standard XM Radio.

The CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide is built on the innovative Touring chassis introduced by Harley-Davidson in 2009, based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame and swingarm specifically developed to suit the needs of long-haul touring rides.  Key CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide Features
