Harley Davidson Motorcycles has teamed up with Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona Harley Davidson to blow out some 2010 Model Motorcycles this weekend only.  Known as the “Shelly Sale” and appropriately so since Shelly Rossmeyer is Bruce’s daughter.  They are inviting you bikers that may be thinking of a new ride to bring your Harley Davidson motorcycles or custom motorcycles by to have your bikes appraised.  Come on now... Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona Harley Davidson will give you $20 gift certificate for stopping by to have your motorcycle appraised and to look at the 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycles, new and used, in stock ready to ride.  The Shelly Sale advertised that it is a Once-In-A-Lifetime Inventory Reduction Don’t Miss It!!!  The sale takes place from 9AM Friday March 26 to 6PM Monday March 29.   Morgan and Morgan (Orlando, FL) obtained a $1 million settlement for a client who was struck by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle. The client suffered multiple femur fractures, which required three surgeries with permanent hardware installation. Yamaha invests $15m in motorcycle manufacturing right behind Harley Davidson in the Indian marketplace.  Yamaha says during 2010 they will produce 22,000 motorcycles in the first year with a workforce of 450 employees and would gradually increase their production to over 750,000 motorcycles in 2020 and employ a total of 8,100 employees manufacturing Yamaha’s in the 100 to 150cc sizes.   Interesting market…Harley Davidson Motorcycles going after the heavy weight cruiser and Yamaha going after the smaller bikes.  KTM debuts “Freeride” Zero Emission Motorcycles at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show.  KTM has presented two versions of an BEM Battery Electric Motor electrically-driven sport motorcycle for the first time.  One is a sports-oriented off-road enduro and the other an street bike are on display at the Tokyo Motorcycle show under the label “KTM Freeride“.
